Year 7 triumph in first RSB public debate

All students in year 7 recently went head to head in their first ever live public debate. They have been working on developing debating skills in their English classes over the last month. They especially concentrated on developing precise arguments that were logical and well organised. They also practised talking English in more formal situations, such as to large groups of people, to adults and debate style formats. The debate was the culmination of all their hard work. Thinking Allowed supports Year 7 students

RSB Kenya Expedition 2010

On Wed 31st March, 13 students and 4 staff embark on the challenge of a lifetime. The RSB team will attempt to summit Mt Kenya. The trip will be an unforgettable experience for the boys participating and raise money to help hundreds of children in schools close to Mount Kenya. We wish them the best of luck! Permanent link

Wael Al Sayegh to launch this year's D.E.A.R.

On Monday 16 November ex student Wael Al Sayegh, poet, author and cultural commentator will launch RSB's second annual Drop Everything And Read celebration. Wael will join all students from years 7,8, 9, 10, tutors and Mr Kilsby, to launch the day, talking about the importance of reading in the development of the students' thinking, learning and creative skills. Parent contributes generously to transform the LRC

A year 7 parent has generously donated funds to the school’s new Learning Resource Centre. Ms Vikki Gilzean, manager of the LRC enthused, “We are delighted with this unexpected and generous gift.
