The generosity and enthusiasm of the boys is amazing

The School’s first Book Fair for 2009-10 took place this week with boys from years 7, 8 and 9 buying books for themselves and their families, as well as the LRC.

Some 500 books were bought from Magrudys’ Arabic Collection with over 150 of these being donated to the Arabic section of the new library. Mr Munir is currently going through the old book stock, some of which is more than 20 years old, to make room for the new books.

Ms Gilzean, the Manager of the LRC said “The generosity and enthusiasm of the boys is amazing. The books chosen are modern and exciting and reflect the reading interests of the boys much more than the old collection.”

The next Book Fair takes place on Monday 16th November during the School’s Drop Everything And Read initiative, when we are expecting even more boys to get involved in selecting books for the LRC.
