Arabic and Islamic Studies at RSB

At Rashid School for Boys, we place great emphasis on teaching the students Arabic and Islamic Studies. The curriculum of the U.A.E Ministry of Education is used as a core in our programme as well as preparing additional worksheets and using other teaching methods to enhance the students’ understanding of the concepts involved. We are also keen on developing their basic skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, by using the latest diagnostic tests and remedial methods.

We also work on promoting the Islamic faith in the minds of the students, enhancing the Islamic ties among them and make them practise their duties. The students are encouraged to pray and adopt high morals and excellent level of behavior. They study the Holy Quran through recitation, memorisation and interpretation. In addition to that they study the Hadeeth, the life of the Prophet Mohammed and some Islamic characters as well as Islamic issues in general. They undertake researches using modern methods and technology.

The Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies offers some High Diploma courses such as Studies of the Quran, Business Translation and Dream Interpreting.
