Economics and Business Studies
Staff - Mr Jeff. Wilkins
The economics department offers a wide variety of courses, including;
- A-level economics
- High school diploma economics
- GCSE business studies
- Entry Level business studies
- High school diploma accounting and finance.
Economics and business studies are popular choices for students throughout the school. Class sizes vary between four and ten students. The GCSE business studies course run in year 10 and 11 is so popular that it is divided into two sets.
Beginning in September 2004 we are introducing an Entry Level business studies course for students who would find the language content of a full GCSE course too difficult. The course is modular and is assessed by both modular tests (which are set by the examination board) and coursework, which students will complete as they work through the modules.
